The 2023 model year edition of the Genesis GV60 EV series, which is also the first one of its kind from the automaker is now going to share its platform with the Ioniq 5 from Hyundai and the EV6 from Kia. Released specifically for the US market, the 2023 Genesis GV60 models could be seen in the auto galleries there by the spring of this year, in 2022.

The platform for an Impressive Performer
The 2023 model year edition of the Genesis GV60 EV will be based on the Electric-Global Modular Platform which both the Hyundai and Kia will be using for their Ioniq 5 and EV6 model series. The 2023 Genesis GV60 series will also get three options to choose from the powertrain lineup. The base trim of the 2023 Genesis GV60 will have an RWD configuration which will be offered to all buyers as the standard, whereas the higher trims that are prone to higher performance can be ordered with an AWD drivetrain. As per the data shared by Genesis, its 2023 GV60 models will be capable enough to speed up to 60 MPH within 4.0 seconds.
The high-performance trims of the 2023 Genesis GV60 model series will thus generate under its hood 429 horsepower when given an AWD configuration. The other trims will throw 314 horsepower from a dual-electric motor which can again be ordered with an AWD system.
But at the bottom-most level, the 2023 model year edition of the Genesis GV60 models will be able to make 225 horsepower from an RWD configuration only. With these powertrain options in use, the 2023 Genesis GV60 models will be able to cover 229 miles of the electric-alone range, while the 314 hp-making AWD versions of the model will go 249 miles with a fully charged battery. If you choose the 229 hp making model it will offer you 280 miles of electric range.
The Inside Story
The interior cabins of the 2023 model year edition of the Genesis GV60 model series will have many attributes to make an exciting entry. Inside the 2023 Genesis GV60 will feature two large touch screens which will be placed alongside each other on the dashboard. It will spread over the shiny metallic trim which is made to hold both the air vents.
